Motion GT is a motion design practice focused on creative problem-solving.

Work spans motion-led storytelling, brand communication, and technically complex projects supported by VFX and 3D where required.

With over 20 years of experience across broadcast, commercial, and digital production, Motion GT brings a calm, considered approach to projects of varying scale and complexity — from quick turnarounds to technically demanding builds.

The practice is led by Geoff Thomson, a motion designer and technical artist based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast. Experience includes many years working in Sydney’s entertainment and broadcast industries, followed by ongoing collaboration with agencies, studios, and direct clients across Australia and internationally.

Projects are approached with an emphasis on clarity, restraint, and solving real production problems — using technical skill in service of the idea, not as a distraction from it.
