For the 2026 Australian Open, I had the chance to bring some of the game’s greats together in a slightly different form for an Opening Ceremony promo. I always had a thing for bronze statues, so building these in 3D was a fun one. Taking that classical sculptural feel and translating it into motion with dramatic lighting, while still keeping the likeness and presence of each player.

Projects like this are a nice reminder that motion design doesn’t always have to feel digital. This was about borrowing from more traditional materials and finding a way to bring them to life.
