Binge required a new set of channel idents to support the refreshed identity of its Comedy Channel. The goal was to bring the channel’s mascot — “Cfer” — to life in a way that felt playful, expressive, and recognisably human.

Motion design and character animation were used to explore short, performance-led moments that reflected the tone of the channel, balancing humour with strong visual identity. A mix of motion capture and keyframe animation allowed for nuanced movement and personality within a fast production timeframe.

Motion capture played a key role in achieving natural performance and physicality, opening up expressive possibilities that would previously have required significantly longer production schedules.
